The series “The nation’s best sand sculptor” shows 6 Dutch contestants, all fanatical and professional sand sculptors, who have accepted the challenge to compete to be the best sand sculptor on the beach of The Hague. More and more people are fascinated by the beautiful sand sculptures created by these artists, as shown by the increasing number of visitors attending sand sculpture festivals and participants in sand sculpting courses. In each episode the contestants have to make 2 sculptures: 1 big sculpture in 2 days and a smaller one in a few hours which is a technical challenge. Every episode has a topic, for example: animals, famous people, famous buildings. The sand sculptures are judged by 2 professional jury members and 1 person from the public. Every episode the worst contestant will be sent home. Who will win the title?
